El Tax Credit Uruguay Audiovisual responde al creciente desembarco de ficciones que llegan desde el pa\u00eds vecino, incluyendo la reciente filmaci\u00f3n en Montevideo de la coproducci\u00f3n argentina-estadounidense \u201cEl futuro es nuestro\u201d de Netflix, aunque tambi\u00e9n hubo inter\u00e9s de otros pa\u00edses como Brasil, que desarroll\u00f3 la miniserie \u201cSenna\u201d. En ese marco, arribaron tambi\u00e9n otras producciones argentinas como las series \u201cCroma\u00f1\u00f3n\u201d, \u201cPorno y Helado\u201d (Prime Video), \u201cCoppola\u201d (Disney +) y \u201cMargarita\u201d (HBO Max), as\u00ed como las pel\u00edculas \u201cBarreda\u201d y \u201cLa desaparici\u00f3n de Josef Mengele\u201d, entre otras. El flamante instrumento consiste en un aporte de hasta el 30% de los gastos elegibles admitidos y ejecutados en Uruguay en actividades de producci\u00f3n y\/o posproducci\u00f3n, que se emitir\u00e1 en certificados de cr\u00e9dito. Desde el Ejecutivo indicaron que el pa\u00eds cuenta con ventajas estrat\u00e9gicas que lo posicionan para su desarrollo, con factores como distancias cortas, locaciones variadas, estabilidad, equipamiento, tecnolog\u00eda de punta, estudios, infraestructura y talento local. A la vez, mencionaron que el incentivo complementa el ecosistema de herramientas existentes, tales como el Programa Uruguay Audiovisual (PUA), que incluye herramientas de cash rebate (reembolso en efectivo); y al IVA cero para producciones con destino internacional. En el gobierno se\u00f1alan que con estos beneficios se generar\u00e1n nuevas oportunidades para empresas, profesionales y servicios del sector, pero tambi\u00e9n para proveedores locales y para fomentar el talento local.
