A partir de julio, el Poder Ejecutivo dispondr\u00e1 un incremento de seis puntos porcentuales en las zonas fronterizas con Brasil y de dos puntos en el l\u00edmite con Argentina, seg\u00fan confirm\u00f3 el subsecretario del Ministerio de Econom\u00eda y Finanzas (MEF), Mart\u00edn Vallcorba. De este modo, la rebaja del Imesi pasar\u00e1 del 28% al 34% en zonas como Chuy, R\u00edo Branco, Acegu\u00e1, Rivera, Artigas y Bella Uni\u00f3n, mientras que subir\u00e1 del 20% al 22% en Fray Bentos \u2013 Puerto Unzu\u00e9, Paysand\u00fa \u2013 Col\u00f3n y Salto \u2013 Concordia. Por otra parte, el subsecretario del MEF traz\u00f3 un balance de las medidas de frontera que impulsa el gobierno para intentar mitigar los efectos de la diferencia cambiaria. Puntualmente, se refiri\u00f3 a la devoluci\u00f3n del IVA, a la que estim\u00f3 en 12 millones de pesos por mes. \u201cEn t\u00e9rminos anuales, son unos 4 millones de d\u00f3lares de beneficios que se trasladan a los consumidores de la frontera con la menor carga del impuesto\u201d, precis\u00f3. Con respecto a la rebaja de aportes patronales, indic\u00f3 que \u201chay 73 empresas que han sido beneficiadas y se alcanz\u00f3 un importe exonerado de unos 330.000 pesos mensuales\u201d, mientras admiti\u00f3 que el r\u00e9gimen simplificado \u201cha tenido poca utilizaci\u00f3n, con 21 operaciones por un total de unos 156.000 pesos\u201d.
