El reciente anuncio del despido de entre el 30% y 40% de la planilla total de m\u00e1s de 1.000 empleados en la empresa alemana de servicios de la industria qu\u00edmica, log\u00edstica y tecnol\u00f3gica, BASF Services America en Montevideo (donde tiene uno de los tres hubs globales), dej\u00f3 entrever las dificultades del sector y los efectos de la ca\u00edda del d\u00f3lar. Est\u00e1 previsto que la empresa mantenga una reuni\u00f3n interna en formato town hall (altos directivos presentan a los empleados) hoy para conocer m\u00e1s detalles de la reestructura y brindar informaci\u00f3n al gobierno. <strong>Fuentes de la empresa dijeron que, \u201cno es un problema de que Uruguay sea caro; es algo que excede al pa\u00eds\u201d y agregaron que se trata de una reestructura de las operaciones de la empresa a nivel global.<\/strong> Tambi\u00e9n sostuvieron que en las pr\u00f3ximas horas se conocer\u00e1 de forma oficial la reestructura que tiene prevista la empresa a trav\u00e9s de un comunicado y luego de una instancia con el personal. La secretaria de seguridad social de la Federaci\u00f3n Uruguaya de Empleados y Empleadas del Comercio y los Servicios (Fuecys), Lorena Bossi, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que si bien los trabajadores no cuentan con un sindicato base afiliado a Fuecys, fuentes del personal indicaron que la empresa atravesaba \u201cproblemas de competitividad\u201d. \u201cEsa reestructura la hacen en todas las sedes corporativas que tienen por el mundo. Va a afectar por todos lados y el \u00e1rea que m\u00e1s afecta en Uruguay es el de finanzas\u201d, asegur\u00f3.
