Esta cifra, que representa casi un 20% m\u00e1s de ventas que el mes anterior, no supone solamente un r\u00e9cord anual. Es necesario remontarse hasta 2016 para encontrar un pico en ventas que lo supere. La cifra m\u00e1s alta se dio en diciembre de aquel a\u00f1o cuando se comercializaron 7.245 autom\u00f3viles, en ese entonces el alza se explicaba por cambios tributarios que entraron en vigencia en 2017. \u201cEn ese momento la gente adelant\u00f3 la compra producto del cambio tributario\u201d, record\u00f3 el gerente de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Comercio Automotor del Uruguay, Ignacio Paz.
