Este sistema permitir\u00e1 operaciones a\u00e9reas seguras incluso en condiciones de escasa visibilidad; mejorando la eficiencia y confiabilidad del transporte a\u00e9reo en Uruguay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda ILS CAT IIIb, ya operativa en terminales como Ezeiza, Guarulhos y El Dorado, posicionar\u00e1 a Carrasco en un nuevo nivel regional. Seg\u00fan Aeropuertos Uruguay, la obra contempla la instalaci\u00f3n de radioayudas, sensores meteorol\u00f3gicos distribuidos en la pista principal; y un sistema de balizamiento LED con 2.000 luces de alta eficiencia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los trabajos comenzaron en enero de 2025 y avanzan seg\u00fan el cronograma previsto. La primera fase, en la pista secundaria 01-19, ya se concluy\u00f3. La segunda, correspondiente a la pista principal 07-25, se extender\u00e1 de junio a noviembre. Durante este per\u00edodo, dicha pista permanecer\u00e1 cerrada; y las operaciones se realizar\u00e1n desde la pista secundaria, aunque con restricciones seg\u00fan viento y tipo de aeronave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asimismo, est\u00e1n programados tres cierres totales del aeropuerto debido a obras en el cruce entre pistas. Estos se realizar\u00e1n entre el 12 y el 14 de agosto, el 19 y el 21 de agosto, y del 2 al 4 de septiembre, todos entre las 09:00 de un martes y las 09:00 del jueves. Las aerol\u00edneas ya se notificaron para reprogramar vuelos y asistir a los pasajeros afectados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde la administraci\u00f3n del aeropuerto destacan que el sistema ILS reducir\u00e1 desv\u00edos, cancelaciones y demoras por niebla o mal clima.
